A short-video feed answers "show me something to watch". It needs a large library and a ranking model, it is free to browse, and it earns from advertising and premium tiers. FikFap is the well-known example, and if a scrolling feed is what you want, a chat site will feel empty to you.
A cam site answers "let me watch a specific person now". One performer, an audience, and money moving through tips and private shows. Stripchat is the reference point. The public room is free and functions as a shop window for the paid private show.
A chat platform answers "let me talk to someone". Two ordinary members, neither paid, private thread. It requires the most effort from you and is the only format where the other person is present for the same reason you are. That is what this site is.
